Lech Lecha
Avram hears Hashem's call to leave his land and his father's house, and walks into the unknown with emunah.
Lyrics
In the city of Charan, Avram heard a call, Hashem said, "Lech lecha," leave it one and all. Leave your land, your birthplace, leave your father's home, Go to the land I'll show you, you won't walk alone. Lech lecha, lech lecha, take that step and go, Where Hashem is leading, that's the way to grow. Lech lecha, lech lecha, trust Him all the way, Every step of emunah lights a brand new day. Seventy-five years old, he packed up and he went, With Sarai and with Lot, from tent to tent. "I will make you a great nation, I will bless your name, And through you every family on earth will be blessed the same." Lech lecha, lech lecha, take that step and go, Where Hashem is leading, that's the way to grow. Lech lecha, lech lecha, trust Him all the way, Every step of emunah lights a brand new day. He came to the land of Canaan, built a mizbeach there, Called out in Hashem's Name, his heart was full of prayer. And when life says "lech lecha" to you and me, We'll follow like Avrohom Avinu, faithfully. Lech lecha, lech lecha, take that step and go, Where Hashem is leading, that's the way to grow. Lech lecha, lech lecha, trust Him all the way, Every step of emunah lights a brand new day.
