Lyrics

A man came to Hillel, said, "Teach me, if you could, The whole Torah while I'm standing on one foot." Hillel answered gently, with a smile and not a frown, "What is hateful to you, don't do to your friend around. That's the whole Torah, the rest explains it through, Now go and learn it," Hillel said, "it's waiting there for you." V'ahavta l're'acha kamocha, Love your fellow as yourself, every day. V'ahavta l're'acha kamocha, Rabbi Akiva said it's a great klal of the Torah's way. Greet every person with a cheerful face, like Shammai said to do, Judge each person favorably, the way you'd want them to. If your neighbor's carrying something heavy, help him with the load, We're all one family, walking down one road. V'ahavta l're'acha kamocha, Love your fellow as yourself, every day. V'ahavta l're'acha kamocha, Rabbi Akiva said it's a great klal of the Torah's way. Every Yid's a part of one big family, When one of us is hurting, it's hurting you and me. And when one of us is happy, we all dance and sing, Ahavas Yisroel, that's a beautiful thing. V'ahavta l're'acha kamocha, Love your fellow as yourself, every day. V'ahavta l're'acha kamocha, Rabbi Akiva said it's a great klal of the Torah's way.
