Shabbos Kumt
A heimish Yiddish song about Friday night: the candles, Tatte home from shul with the malochim, and Kiddush.

In English
Friday evening, the sun is already going down; the table is ready, the challahs under their cover. Mame lights the candles and covers her eyes, and the house fills with light and the heart with rest. Shabbos is coming in, let's all sing and be happy. Tatte comes home from shul with the malochim beside him; we sing Sholem Aleykhem and we are all rich. He makes Kiddush on a cup of wine and everyone, big and small, answers Omeyn. All week we toil and run, but Shabbos is a gift from the Creator Himself.
